Kawasaki Ninja 250R adalah varian terbaru dari Kawasaki Ninja dengan mesin 249 cc, menggiurkan bagi para pengguna motor balap. Motor balap yang sudah menjadi pembicaraan sejak tahun 2007 ini diproduksi di Thailand dan masuk ke Indonesia dipertengahan 2008. Dengan rasio kompresi 1 : 11.6, Ninja 250 R memang cukup menguras kantong karena dia meminum BBM sekelas Pertamax plus. Meski demikian, hal ini sepadan dengan kemampuannya, si Ninja memiliki tenaga maksimum 11.000 putaran per menit (rpm) dan torsi maksimum yang dihasilkannya 9.500 rpm.
Yang menjadi problem utama (khususnya bagi saya, hehehe...) adalah harganya yang juga aduhai. Informasi dari Kompas, Ninja 250R dilepas dengan harga Rp. 44 juta, padahal banderol diluar negeri berkisar pada angka US$ 3499.
Bagi anda yang ingin mengendarai Ninja tapi ingin spesifikasi yang lebih murah, bisa ambil Ninja RR 150 (lk 30 juta), Ninja (lk 23 juta) atau Ninja M (lk 20 juta).
Saya mengecek di website Kawasaki, Ninja 250R belum ada, sehingga saya belum bisa melihat spesifikasi detailnya. Spesifikasi Ninja 250R mungkin akan mirip-mirip 150RR dengan berbagai perbaikan dan peningkatan kinerja.
